Pierogy Grilled Cheese


  • 1 bag Mrs. T’s Classic Cheddar Pierogies
  • 12 yellow onions, sliced
  • 4 ounces butter
  • 48 slices Hawaiian bread
  • 96 slices aged gouda
  • 48 slices fresh mozzarella
  • Mayonnaise, as needed


  1. Preheat oil to 350°F. Fry pierogies in oil for 4 minutes until nicely browned. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and caramelize onions; set aside.
  3. Preheat skillet or flat top grill to 350°F. Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on one side of bread slice, place 2 slices of gouda, 2 slices of mozzarella, 3 pierogies, caramelized onions and 2 slices of gouda on bread.
  4. Top with a second slice of bread that has a layer of mayonnaise on the outside. Grill until golden brown and cheese has melted.
